Even though we raise puppies we encourage you to PLEASE check a Australian Cattle Dog rescue, Humane Society, Shelter or a local pound. Many "Heelers" are waiting for their new homes due to people not being prepared for the energy, attitude, and training that this breed recquires. There are so many animals that are going to lose their life because there are not enough homes for them. There are so many great dogs who need your love first but if you don't find the dog of your dreams then we do have puppies for sale to the right home.... PLEASE CHECK A SHELTER FIRST!

Queensland Heelers, Australian Cattle dogs, Red Heelers, Blue Heelers originated from Australia. They are very active working & herding dogs commonly used for ranch work but are also amazing companion dogs that do very well with children. Heelers are very protective of there owners, territory, and family. ACDs have been bred to herd and to do so with force, ie biting. Without their own cattle most will find other things to herd, your cats, toys, your kids, neighbors, the lawn mower, vacuum cleaner, etc. Part of this desire to herd comes from a strong prey drive, that is the drive to catch and kill small game. Expect your ACD to be fascinated by squirrels, cats, and other small animals. Most are fine with other species IF THEY ARE RAISED WITH THEM. This can range from cute to annoying to outright dangerous. Biting at the ankle or hind leg is instinctive and this will come out whenever they chase or herd something else. While this is sometimes cute it also means they have a strong tendency to bite PEOPLE, even just in play. ACDs are high energy, intently focused dogs. Most will want to be active and busy most, if not all, of the time. When young they have two modes, 90 miles per hour and comatose. This energy has to be directed somewhere or you will quickly end up with problems. A bored ACD will find ways to entertain himself, usually doing something you won't like, such as redecorating your house, rearranging your yard, etc. Heelers need ALOT of room to roam as they are very active and will NOT do well locked up all day, confined indoors or in apartment homes. They are a very intelligent breed of dog and many enjoy traveling with their owners. ACDs are a lot of dog in a small body and it takes a lot of owner to raise and handle one. Please research this breed before contacting us on a pup. Everyone can own one but not everyone should.

Our dogs are all a part of our family and current on everything. Our dogs are purely ranch working dogs. We do not own show dogs and have no desire. Our dogs are like a family member. They are on the couch, laying on the back porch, asleep in the yard. Yes, they are put up at nightfall due to our coyote and bobcat problems here. It is up to the new owners to continue Vaccinations,Wormings, Heartworm preventative, Flea/Tick preventative. We do not produce show dogs nor do we have any desire to do so. How can people that have 10+litters a year honestly have any time to socialize or work with the puppies?  We are proud to offer Beautiful,Socialized,Healthy Pure-bred working ranch and pet quality puppies to loving family homes.  Do you have room? Although an Australian Cattle Dog is better suited for rural farm life, they can adapt to living in a suburban surrounding if given the proper attention and care. They are not apartment dogs and not dogs to be tied, chained or kenneled. They require, at the very least, a good-sized, securely fenced backyard. If you would like to purchase a puppy from us we ask that you discuss this with any other people that live in your home. As well please speak with your vet and ask his/her  advice on this breed. The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.

Do these dogs need there tails? YES, YES, YES !! ACD's are born with a beautiful tail that is very important in their maneuvering techniques during herding and chasing the occasional ball or rope toy. Some "breeders" (usually backyard breeders) have taken up the practice of "docking" the tail at birth. They use many excuses why they continue with this practice, but the truth of the matter is that a "true" Cattle Dog should have their tail.

The Australian Cattle Dog should have an intact tail. There are a lot of misinformed ranchers who still insist on docking the tail of these dogs and it is a GREAT disservice to the dog. The tail of the Australian Cattle Dog is the main balance and maneuvering for the dog while he's moving. A heeling dog needs to be able to literally turn on a dime as he nips and ducks flying hooves. The tail is a vital part of the Australian Cattle Dog's movement and should never be docked.  A few of our breeding stock dogs we do have here at our ranch do have shorter tails due to being born with a natural stumpy/bobbed tail.

Please DO NOT ask us to dock your new pups tail. We will NOT. If you are looking for a pup with a docked tail, please keep looking. We do NOT dock tails, and wont, so dont bother asking us to. These dogs do indeed need there tails to balance. How would you like it if someone cut off your finger or toe? Please keep looking and you will find what you are looking for, an un-educated breeder whom docks the tails for looks! I guess if they are selling puppies for a Quick Buck, and they are not working purebred dogs then they dont care about docking there tails and it does not bother them anyways!  All of our pups will have a intact tail. A exception is when we have naturally born bobbed/stumpy tails ,which does happen rarely.

***We reserve the right to refuse selling a puppy

Airlines Shipping:  We prefer you pick up a puppy in person so we can visit with you and you can see the parents of the puppies and ask any questions you might have. Thats not always possible so we can ship a puppy. We offer Experienced Nationwide Shipping out of state for a ADDITIONAL $300 to ship a puppy, for a second puppy in the same crate add $100. This includes travel costs to DFW airport, Pups airfare, a FAA approved crate, Vet exam and Health Certificate. We will ship only to the lower 48 states. I will only ship via airplane on SATURDAYS & SUNDAYS ONLY! (No weekdays at all)  The flight Date & Time will be chosen by my personal schedule, the airlines schedule and the days weather.

Keep in mind that we cannot let any puppies fly until they are at least 8 weeks old. (It is the law) and only if the weather is safe for the puppy. The weather is decided safe or not by the airlines not us. Temps must be between 45-85 degrees at the time of shipping at both airports. In the summer please be patient for a safe temperature to come. If you wanted to pick up your puppy
we would discuss the adequate age the puppy would be able to leave. (This would all depend on how the puppy is progressing after it is weaned from its mother)

Personal Delivery: We will drive up to 100 miles (1 way) to deliver pups in person. We charge $1.00 mile (1 way). This covers my time and expenses. I am very flexible on delivery, as well as you picking up in person at our home. All shipping fess will be paid prior to receiving a pup.

Ground Shipping: There are two sources that are available to us for Ground Transportation of your pup as well. Normally we use this form of shipping in cases were the weather is to hot or cold for the airlines to allow animals to be shipped. This is a great alternative. Pricing varies on the travel route, time of year, number of animals. Please feel free to check out the following sites for more info. www.smallanimaldelivery.com and http://www.uship.com/pets/ Providing Ground Transportation Throughout the U.S.A.
